Zoomoozik.com, LLC, Launches ZooTones, A Collaborative Ringtone Editor Powered by DJ Nitrogen
Southaven, MS./ San Francisco, CA. Zoomoozik.com, the world’s first all-digital music label, announces ZooTones, a new desktop ringtone application that empowers fans to make MP3 ringtones from their favorite Zoomoozik artists’ songs, and to legally share their creations with other fans who own the same songs - a first in the industry. ZooTones, which serves ringtones to customers of all major US carriers, is powered by DJ Nitrogen’s mobile content collaboration platform.ZooTones lets fans of Zoomoozik artists create ringtones and save the “ringtone recipes” for any MP3 format songs on the user’s computer. The user can browse and build upon recipes created by other members of the ZooTones community, but only for songs that the user already owns, thus respecting artists’ copyrights. This gives users access to a wide and growing library of ringtones for the Zoomoozik music they love, with multiple ringtone recipes available for the most popular songs.

“We searched the web to find the ultimate customized ringtone product for our customers, and the DJ Nitrogen platform provided the best choice,” says Michael Sharf, Zoomoozik’s CEO. “Their full-service solution lets us focus on what we do best, while meeting our customers’ mobile needs and ultimately putting more money into the artists’ hands.”
A new user’s first ringtone is free, and if a ZooTones user creates a ringtone from a published MP3 that doesn’t yet have a ZooTones ringtone recipe, he/she will get that ringtone for free as well. Beyond these free opportunities, users can select from three pricing models including two convenient monthly plans.
“We are thrilled to be providing the ringtone solution for Zoomoozik,” says Chris Sindoni, DJ Nitrogen CEO. “Their fervor for assisting the unsigned artist is ideal for our innovative technology that respects both artists and their fans.”
About Zoomoozik:
Since 2007, Zoomoozik has been an online music community for bands, fans and the industry as the world’s first all-digital record label, retail and distribution site for MP3 downloads and streams. It is a data base of unsigned groups with valuable consumer information for A&R execs, publishers, promoters, booking agents and record companies, a resource for artist questions on legal and business issues and most importantly providing “robot” management and consultation. “For the first time in the history of the music industry, artists will be in control using tools provided through technology to steer their own careers and make their own decisions. We are all excited at Zoomoozik to be a part of this revolution and help develop the technology and the platform that will drive the future of the music industry. DJ Nitrogen will help us offer ringtone technology that serves the artist most efficiently,” states Rory Rogers, Director of A&R at Zoomoozik.com.
